You can checkout pbase for variety of pictures. I shoot mostly landscape. The only downside, optically, that I've seen is light fall-off on the corners when shooting a blue sky. Mechanically, it has a reputation of creeping. But overall, I love mine.

Thanks guys for all the links and pics...
it is greatly appreciated... I think the 18-200Vr is gonna be lens of choice ofr my D80 for my trip to europe, and the Sigma 30mm f1.4 is gonna be the lens of choice for the Indoor shooting where no flashes are allowed. hopefully the 18-200VR will be good enough for my trip to the French Magny Course Grand Prix, coz i hear they dont allow normal spectators with anything more than a 300mm zoom. cheers for now. ![]() ![]() taken indoors, using a flash (SB600) ![]() outside (with no flash, obviously). And one macro shot -- ![]() I am using a D40, and I am more than thrilled with this lens. (Except it is heavy for me.) Yeah, the flower is ugly, but I was very happy with the DoF. Leah |

Where are you guys getting these lenses?
I'm not willing to pay more than MSRP ($749) which certainly limits my options. Really, though, what's the hold up on this lens? B&H and Wolf Camera both sell it for $749 but both have been out of stock for months. Where else should I look? |
