Went to Tigertail Beach in Marco Island this morning with the intent of using the D7000 along with the 70-200mm 2.8 Nikkor + 2X- TELECON. This time, I would use the monopod because I would be wading the shoreline.
Well, I neve really got a chance to use the 2X Telecon as the birds are so accustomed to seeing humans that, if you approach them slowly, they will actually ignore you. If you wait long enough, they will think you're part of the landscape and approach you. Here are a couple of images captured using the 70-200mm but coupled to a 1.4 Telecon: NOTE: NONE OF THESE ARE CROPPED ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's NOT fair
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm stuck in Wisconsin suffering from cabin fever with 5 inches of snow overnight. Last weekend I made a trip to Horicon NWR, but living things were few and far between. I made a trek another hour and a half to a dam on the Wisconsin River to get a few gull shots, never saw a one. I guess its hanging out by the feeder for another couple weeks. Can't wait for things to get green again and for the warblers to show up again. Nice job though. |

Very nice pictures Zig,
The combo 70-200 mm + 1.4 TC deliver very sharp pictures. Thank you for posting. Marcelo |
