Cousin dropped my D50 today, now the lens wont move, i took it off you can only see a pinhole of light, through the view finder its very dark. I cant zoom at all, but the autofucus still works. its stuck on 55mm
Is the lens a goner? its the 18-55mm kit lens. Is it salvagable? She didnt offer to replace it, but i did say you will pay to have it fixed, she kinda tried to give me the brush off but she just quit work to start going back to school so not sure how i will get money to pay for this |

If the lens is off the camera ...all I can see thru my 50mm is a small pinhole......
How about with the lens off and the camera turned off can you see thru the viewfinder.....it will be blurry but can you see. If there are no dents on the camera or lens ...it should be under warranty, the camera for 1 year and the lens for 5 years. |
