Buying the Nikon D50 dSLR.
Will be using the camera for mostly nature photography - beach scenes and macro (shells, butterflies, etc.). There are several options available to me: * body only (purchase lens (which ones???) separately), * two lens kit - body with 18-55mm and 55-200mm, or * one lens kit - body with 28-90mm. Any recommendations/advice would be greatly appreciated!! Jeannie :? |

How about 18-55 kit and a macro lens?

I agree 18-55 and a macro sounds good. If you can get it the Nikon 18-200 VR has a decent macro and range but its pricey |

I would stay away from the 28-80 lens, it's not wide enough with D50.
If you live in the US, checkout Cameta on eBay for different packages on the D50: http://stores.ebay.com/Cameta-Camera A good combination for starters is the 18-55 kit and the Sigma 70-300 DG APO. The Sig APO has a nice macro. Good Luck! |
