I am considering using this fisheye lens with my D70 for fun shots and ultra wide angle applications. Questions.

1. Folks' experience with this lens in general?

2. Is the Nikon Capture software the only way to perform the rectilinear transformation (fisheye to 180 degree shot)? Can Photoshop (or PSE3)do this?

3. Can this lens accept a UV protective filter?

Thanks.

I just got my DX fisheye. Capture 4 is probably the easiest way to do the transformations - I hear that Panotools can do it also, but I haven't tried itor PS. This lens doesn't take any filters on the front; it has a small rear color gel holder on the rear - kind of cool that you can get a sampler book from Rosco or Lee filters and make tons of filters for your fisheye.
