Well, I ordered this extraordinary lens, not thinking of the bulbous glass front end which prohibits adding screw-on filters.
I know there are a few clamp-on filter holders but can't seem to locate a circular polarizer. Does anyone know of or recommend a kit to hold the polarizer and/or can you recommend a polarizer that will work on this beast? Thanks! |

Polarizers are not recommended on ultra-wide lenses such as the 14-24mm for two reasons: Vignetting (the filter rim shows in the image) and the sky goes uneven (intensification of the blue sky depends on the angle of the sun).

There are some options like the Lee Filters or the Fotodiox Pro. http://fotodioxpro.com/index.php/fot...-cap-only.html Marcelo |

The vignetting that appears when using a polarizing filter on an ultrawide lens is more than just a result of the filter rim. By it's nature, a polarizing filter reduces the transmission of off-angle light, and thus. when used with wide angle and ultrawide angle lenses, vignettes.
Using a CPL on the Nikon 14-24/2.8, especially on a 'Full Frame' body, will create severe vignetting, over and above the vignetting that already comes from using the 14-24/2.8 on a 'Full Frame' body.
