Can someone explain what the Nikon G series lenses are?
According to the Nikon website they do not contain an aperature ring, this is supposed to lighten the lens. What about the quality of the glass and lens? |

The aperture is controlled from within the camera electronically so no need for a twist ring on the lens barrel. Takes a while to get used to but in the end it is quicker using the thumbwheel control on your camera. The lenses are top notch so don't worry on that score.

Hi,
I think the provide 'distance' information for the camera's metering, also like the D & DX ones. |
