I am totaly new to the DSLR world,I have a Nikon D-40 with the 18-55 kit lens. I would like to get this lens on ebay, I know I will have to manual focus with this. I want something that will bring things closer to me, I am no pro and do not intend on printing anything. have a look and give me your opinions please.

You do realize this is a fixed Aperture lens right? It's always f/8.
You'll probably need a tripod using it for best results. A mirror lens like this will tend to have odd bokeh, too (out of focus highlights will tend to be a bit harsh, often looking like donuts). As mirror lenses to, this one doesn't seem too bad consdering the low price. Here's a thread someone with it started a while back: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=94 Here's a review of one on pbase.com: http://www.pbase.com/dang/500 |
