Well that`s a hard question to answer,lol....i`ve taken a lot at f2.8 ,,,and when the tele converter is on a lot at f4.You lose a stop with the converter..I rarely go over f5.6 as i like a shallow depth of field,and fast shutter speeds as i handhold the camera mostly,,but at 280mm (420mm for 35mm) this leaves little room for error at f2.8 and f4....very little movement of the animal,and he`s out of the shallow depth of field...

ha yeah that has to be a real problem with fast flying birds or running animals
thanks for the info, cause i'm still looking for a good 2.8 performer in tele end |
