Anybody have the Sigma APO 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM
I got it for Birds & Wildlife. Just got mine two days ago and haven't had much chance to use it it due to the gloomy rainy weather we've had. This isn't too bad a shot of a Northern Flicker as it was shot through the dinning room window and ISO 2000, f/9, 1/400 sec, 500mm and cropped 50% ![]()

So no one here has used this lens? Your missing out on a great lens then.
For a couple years, I had the old BIGMA it was called, 50-500mm non OS and it was a great lens and why I wanted the newer, better one.

Ive had mine for about 3-4 years now. The lens does well in good light, I tend to use it on a FX body more then a DX. For a grand it will get you out to 500mm with pretty decent shots. The alternative will cost. Enjoy your new lens, you should be please with it the more you get to know it.

Maybe not do that as most real photographers will wonder the same thing. Non photographers may like it just fine for the effect. Just thinking... no offense.

Quite alright jack....I selected a poor example to illustrate this lens and its merits.

I shoot with the older Bigma 50-500 non-OS and never had a problem:
