The lens might be fast, but would the handling be slow?


also might be a bargain at £899 from park cameras in the UK if the price tag is right.

The lens is expected to be around $7,000 USD so I think the price you have is a bit low - maybe that's the deposit.

Looks like they have put a 'safe' price on the site now of £10,000 which is higher than it will end up being (I hope).

So you want one huh? Just look at this photo of the lens and you'll - in the end - notice there is a camera body attached to it. Puts the damned thing in perspective and proportion for me anyway. I need a porter to carry the thing and wouldn't trust many tripods with it either. Oh, and it comes with a 2x teleconverter too!
