Hi guys,
After some advice I'm seriously considering purchasing a new wide angle lens, namely the Tokina 12mm-24mm f-4 Pro DX. The only prob is i'm new to slr photography, the only reason im getting the lens is to get into landscape photography and basically could do with advice from some more experienced photographers as to what this lens would be like. I have read the reviews and they all seem good but i just thought i'd ask. Btw, ideally i would fork out some more cash but i am on a budget. Many thanks L1 |

I can't comment on that lens, however I use the Nikon 12-24 and I find it to be a good range of angle of view. At 12mm you get a 90 degree view at 12mm much more than that and you're into fisheye lenses. There doesn't seem to be anything as wide forDSLRs in fixed focal length primes.
