Would anyone know which 1.4x teleconverter works with the Nikon AF 80-200mm F2.8 lens in AF on the Nikon D50?

I have a Tamron AF SP 2x TC for my 80-200 AF with my D70, and it works just fine. I haven't yet really put it though it's paces optically yet, but it all functions work just fine. The 1.4x should work as well.

agiaccio : I have the Tamron 1.4x TC and used with theTamron 70/300 AF with my D70, and if you have a good and strong light the pic come OK, as you can see, this one was taking from 2 street cross from my backyard, is clear, a bit soft. And if you like you can use PS for postproduction.

Assuming you have a non-AFS version, options for teleconverters are rather limited unfortunately. I was hoping to get one for mine for shooting football this fall, but there weren't many options out there.

The Kenko Pro 300 1.4x and 2x converters (newer gray model) are fully functional with both AF and AFS lenses and also support VR.
