Well after going back and forth in my head, the positive comments here made up my mind to get the Sigma 10-20 f4 lens. Took some pics this evening and really pleased with the results. Thanks guys.

Just wondering how the variious lens choices for uwa are going. I have a d7000 and wondering if satisfied with the various lenses wa that have been bought.

I traded the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 on a Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/8-16m...6-dc-hsm-sigma to get REALLY wide. You have to be careful of perspective distortion, you can't put filters on it and it has to be kept level to avoid keystoning.

I've got the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 lens that I use with the D7000. I find it to be a very sharp lens. It pretty much performs as I expected.
However, as with all UWA lens, as Bob Nichols mentioned, you need to be concerned with fairly complex distortion and keeping the lens/camera level is of much greater importance than when using a medium zoom lens. I've been using Photoshop CS5 to deal with the distortion as necessary. Zig

Hi Bob and zig-123,
I thankyou for your responses I was thinking of the nikon 10-24mm but just seemed a bit expensive at this stage so that is why I asked. I would say that I would be going the way of the tonika 11-16ml as it does not seem to be overly expensive.
