Okay well i am a total newbie when it comes to photography, but i was wondering..

my dad just gave me all of his camera stuff he had for a while.. its a Nikon FA, FM2 .. but my main conern is the lenses.

Will the lenses work with a newer D-SLR, say a D70 ?

The reason i'm asking this is because if it is compatible, i'd probably buy a D70 then, instead of having to reinvest money all over again into lenses.

if it doesn't work, then i might opt to buy a canon DSLR or something like that..

i have no idea what anything is.. it says

Nikon Nikkor 105mm 1:2.5 937903

the side has a aluminum band, and the F-stops range from 2.5 - 22
and the focusing thing starts at 1m.
