Well after being patient and waiting, and wondering if the Nikkor 18-200mmVR lens was really worth it, the lens finally arrived today. And I now know why folks really like this lens. It is a a compact, very smooth zooming lens. I find that I like it a lot. Although, you almost automatically want just a bit more reach. Here is a sample photo.

'Glad to hear you like yours. Mine replaced my old 18-55 and 70-300G (non-VR) lenses and I'm very happy with it. Most of my shooting involves a lot of walking (city and nature), so I'm very happy with having a really versatile, yet good quality lens.

Hi Rey-

Frankly I was surprised at just how good a lens it really seems to be. Naturally, I am pleased and I can see this lens will really reduce lens changes. here is another sample photo.
