hi



i have got a sigma 100-300mm f4 and been looking at 1.4x teleconverters , is it worth paying the extra for the nikon :?

I'd highly reccomend using a Sigma TC for a couple of reasons. First off, Nikon TCs have a tab inside that prevents them from being used w/ non-Nikon lenses... this tab would need to be filed down to work w/ your Sigma lens. Also, Sigma does not license the Nikon mount, they reverse engineered it... this leads to some operational inconsitancies (glitches) when using Sigma lenses w/ other TCs.

Hi Matt - may I recommend that you check out the
Kenko MC 1,4x Converter Nikon AF PRO 300 DG

I have heard / read that this is an outstanding converter!

thanks for the advice i have gone for the sigma , after doing loads of reading and taking your advice , somne times i think you can read to much online and just confuse your self to much :?
