That lens by Sigma is the only other choice a D40 can use. I have to say not bad at all.

I am seeing Tamron at pretty good price but have not heard much about it. Seems like many have agreed the Tokina is one of the best in this range, but is not that cheap either.

Musketyou really a stupid youonly compared the prices in between microglobe.co.uk and onestop-digital.com but you dont know about their supplying locations, onestop-digital.com are supplying the Tokina 12-24mm lens from HongKong and the price is ok with Hongkong while Microglobe.co.uk are supplying that lens from UK after adding VAT shipping cost and other related charges, and the price is very cheap than any other store in the UK. You should compare the prices in one region and country not country to country.

I was quoting UK suppliers via websearch , that means things that can be bought by

UK residents. Microglobe is very cheap as a UK based company, compared to other

UK based companies, thats why I used it for a comparison. :P

however read the terms and conditions of Onestop digital.

And the assuritiesthat a'Paypalaccount' offers.

I also noticed one up for grabs in Ebay,:idea:the item islocated in the UK.
