First of all congratulations on having a golf course all of your own (well, it looks like a fairway). Of the four photos I prefer the second (1253) for the composition, but inall you break the rule of thirds - too much sky. The lens looks sharp, but if it is your first time out with such a wide zoom then I understand your problem. After 25 years of Nikkors each one of mine is a learning curve even now, especially my recent move into macro with the 105mmVR. No, I won't put up my first shots for criticism - my own was harsh enough!

Thanks, we like it here on the 4[suP]th[/suP] fairway, although we are in desperate need of some rain (brown grass). I was more concerned with exposure and sharpness at this stage of the learning curve.

As far as the rule of thirds goes, that will take more work. At 10mm keeping my feet of the frame was my first challenge.

Thanks for looking
Jeff

Looks like a good lens.
I've always had a crush on the lens, but never felt i had to buy it. I should though
Are you happy with it?

I've had one since August 2006 on my Nikon D70s and have been very satisfied with the results. I must have received one of the good ones!

Keeping feet and camera bag out of the frame is an issue!
