Has any D300 and 28-70 owners out there felt the need to "AF tune" their 28-70's? If so what setting did you use? Would all 28-70 lens owners need to AF tune this lens to the D300?

Thanks.

IMO there's no one answer that will meet your question as each camera mechanical tolerance is different from one another and so are each individual lens...

-> How can any posted answer apply to your own combo as their tolerances can stack up in which case the AF will diverge with a higher fine-tune number or the lens offset is opposite from the camera offset as they cancel out each other (even though both of them are off) and the fine-tune number is still set @ zero?

I see. Thanks. That's partly what I wanted to know too. If you could apply the settings from another camera/lens combo.

Onto other things.
