what lens do you recommend to give the sharpest shots for the nikon d300

Really depends what you want to shoot and how much your budget is, there is no one lens for all uses.

As was said, there is no perfect lens, or right answer to this question. Which lens to choose really depends on what you're going to be shooting. In all honesty, most lenses are pretty sharp when shot around F8. Another factor affecting sharpness is your shooting technique. The sharpest lens in the world won't give you good results with poor technique.
