Default Sigma 50-150f2.8

My NAS (Nikon Acquisition Syndrome) is out of control!

Anybody have one in a Nikon F mount? Most of the reviews I have read on the web have been critical of a front focus problem, but then, most have been in a Canon mount. Have you noticed any problems?

It seems like a pretty handy focal length range, along with a fast aperature, in a fairly compact package, certainly smaller and lighter than a Nikkor 70-200f2.8 AF-S VRII.

Thanks for your time.

I just got this lens about 2 weeks ago. I've only snapped a few pics. I plan on shooting some HS volleyball with it this week. It seems to be very sharp, nice build quality and not too large. Focus is very fast. I've not noticed any focus issues.

rjseeney-

Can you post some samples from the Sigma 50-150mm lens, please. Thanks.

Have a great day.

As I said, I've only taken a 3 or 4 shots with it. I'll be using it on Tuesday at my daughter's volley ball game, and hope to have some decent images to post then.

I'm lusting after this lens.

I also shoot volleyball and my 70-200 2.8 Sigma is a little cumbersome if I plan on moving around.

So, rjseeney, do you have a report for us? Curious how your volleyball pics turned out.
