i usually stay at like 400-1000 for it depending... so 3.5 will surfice..... some of these were shot at f8
Those pics are sick, would you recommend the 20mm f/2.8 or 50mm f/1.8?

i havent used the 20, but plan on getting it.... i recommend the 18-55 because of the angle and the price (free as of now ) untill you outgrow it. use a flash during the day and stop the lens down to f5.6-f8ish at 18mm and yu can usually keep your shutter around 1/500ish..... its not an exact science

after you do this for a while and read up on some reviews, the decide if you need the 20, or if you want to save and get a nikon 12-24 or tokina 11-16.... the worst thing you can do with camera gear is impulse buy.....

I know but theres a problem with my 18-55mm. If im in auto-focus and it auto focus's a few times the end where the manual focus ring is. It comes out and then i have to switch it to manual and move it back in.

so to sum it up - 70-300 is completely the WRONG lens for skate. even 50mm is way too long.
