Default Sigma 70-300mm DG APO macro VS. Tamron 70-300mm Di LD macro.

Ok, I have to make my final decision whether to buy the Tamron or Sigma. It seems that Sigma has a better build quality but the image quality in Tamron is better. What do you guys think? I'm going to order either one in the next week.

If I had to choose it would be the Tamron. I used one when I was with Konica Minolta (Sony now) and when switching to Canon in 2006 I went for the Sigma, wish I had bought the Tamron.

That would do it for me.

Thanks, yeah now I'm leaning more towards the Tamron. It looks cheaper and must feel cheaper but the quality of the image must be better and since it's lighter there will be more stabilization probably.

Just wondering should I buy it on craigslist for $120 CAD.
At a local camera shop for $190 CAD + tax.
Or on amazon for $165 USD + $25 shipping + like $20 tax.

?

Whichever is cheaper for you, but make sure it's the Di LD!
