Nice macro work Greg. I always think you are a telephoto guy, you did a stunning job in macro world too

Nice work, with the 1.4 TC you are in the range of the sigma 150mm macro and tamron 180mm macro.

Hmmm, I love to shoot action. Its kinda like I don't see it till it moves. I love super tele and little creatures. I kinda like ultrawide too. Macro is a blast.

The only thing I don't shoot much is "normal" focal lengths. Everyone that knows me knows I'm not a normal guy.

The 105mm alone at 1:1 gives me the same general image as my old Oly 50mm at 1:2 (half life size) due to the crop factor. I always felt that was a little short in the field. The TC 1.4 gives a little more, so I'm at 1.4:1.

The primary reason I like to add converters is to give more magnification. I can trade that for more working distance if I want. So far the 105mm seems to stand up well to the converter, so I'm pleased.

hi every one I recently got the tokina macro 100mm +d 90 I have used it for a short while it was working just fine beautiful lens by the way.
now when I shoot it doesnt auto focus even in the view finder only the left side works I changed to other lens and it shoots just fine switched back to the tokina the same problem happened again.
any ideas? would like the help thank you.

You might try cleaning the contacts on the lens.

hi tclune thank you for your advise turns out to be my mistake I turned on manual on the lens although I did clean up the contacts of the camersa and the lens thanks again
