Hey Marcelo

That Sigma's looking very good and esp at that price. Sigma have really up'd their game on the quality of their glass and their 35mm clearly shows it. One thing I would really like from them is weathersealing/proofing esp on say something like the big guns or their 70-200F2.8 type lenses. For that kind of money, you'd want it to be a standard feature.

Zig.. ahh the brightside... its sunny everywhere I look.. well as long as it doesnt move it is !

Ken have you picked up a 50mm F1.8 yet ?

Cheers

Harj

Which TC did you use?
My Nikon TC-20E III do not seems to fit this lens

Also the Nikon TC-17E II, which fits and work quite well, does not translate the focal length and aperture correctly on the latest Sigma 120-300...
-> I apparently have a 204-510 f/2.8 (great price if this true)

Sorry for the late reply but I thought the thread was dead already.

I use the 120-300mm with the 1.4 and 2.0 Sigma TC's, those are the best option for this lens.

I have the Nikon 1.7 TC II and Kenko 1.4 but the results with the Sigma are fantastic for AF speed and sharpness.

Some samples from the last winter in Long Island:

Yes - This Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 is fantastic lens
and:
o You can fine tune its AF @ 4 different zoom settings (unlike any Nikon)!!!
o Two programmable settings - Select on the fly for AF accuracy or AF speed

It also does wonder on the Nikon1: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ni...ml#post1374990

-> The lens however is just non-compatible with any 1.4x, 1.7x, and 2x TC from Nikon...
Sigma TC's will work fine
