Default Sigma ART 18-35mm f/1.8 on D5300

Is such a good marriage that this lense almost never comes off it. Just love the sharpness and the details it catches with this combination:

Best regards,

Walter

I like that shot.. it looks sharp and the colours are good as well.. It'd be nice to see how good the lens is shot wide open F1.8-F2.

Thank you for your kind comment, HArij!
Here are som shots wide open. These were made the first week I owed this lens, just to test the AF wide open. I normally don't use f/1.8 to f/2.8 because of my motives. I am foremost a landscape photographer with geat DOF in mind and thus I am not using this good glass to it's intendet potential, but its has become mye No.:1 lens for landscapes now!!

and

@ f/1.8 handheld:

and here on my FF D700 (the lens is actually a dedicated DX (APSC-sensor)- camera, but fills the FF @ 18mm)

here @ f/2.8 on D700

BTW. Here are all my shots with this lens on D5300 uploaded on NikonImages.com

NIKON D5300 / SIGMA Art 18-35mm f/1.8 DC

My only thing with the Sigma ART lenses is the lack of weather sealing.. I think Sigma have done a brillant job recently and the 18-35 is one example of that. I hope they add WR to any of their future ART lenses.

Post some more landscape pics .. itd be nice to see how well the 18-35 works for you!

OK, HarjTT

I totally agree what you said about weather-sealing. I miss that. When it rains, I use my Pentax K-50 (only have the 18-135mm kit-lens though...). I do not normally post here, but since you first asked:

Here is another on @ f/2

Best regards,
Walter
