Default 18 300 f. 6.3

Has anyone got any first hand experience of the new 18 300mm f6.3. As I'm tempted to get it but I'm a bit concerned about the focus at f6.3. Thanks

This is an update for anyone who's interested. I have now tried the 18 300 f6.3 against my original 18 200 vr on the d5100 and the d5500. I used both lenses wide open then did the same comparison tests with them stopped down to f8. I did iso 1600 3200 6400 in a low light situation. Then in sunny contrasty conditions I shot at 18mm 50mm 100 mm 200mm and 300 on the 6.3 lens. I found that my old 200mm f5.6 out performed the 18 300 f6.3 at all settings and when I cropped it to match the 300mm shots taken at f6.3 and f8 is was just as good. The only exception was at 18mm at f3.5 the 18 300 was a very little bit sharper in the centre but it showed more c/a than my old lens which doesn't really show any.
I had previously tried a different 18 300 f6.3 In an enclosed situation , that one seemed to show some promise but I failed to keep the iso's equal but maybe or probably the lenses vary.
I think I can hear TCav saying I told him so.😊

I would never do that.

... I do, however, congratulate you on your meticulousness and determination.

Thanks TCav, I just wanted to get it out of my mind and stop going round in circles.
