I have Nikon lenses from fisheye to 500 mm for my NIkon F SLR Bodies.

Does Nikon make a Digital Camera that will accept these lenses ?

Current and back models appreciated

Thanks

Nikon's range of digital SLR models still use the infamous F mount, so all your lenses will physically fit onto any Nikon dSLR released to date.

However, you may lose certain functionality such as matrix metering for those lenses without CPU contact and various other restrictions with the new body, but for capturing an image in full manual mode, there should be no problems.

Some older lenses will not fit current DSLR's due to the shape of the inside notches that mate with the aperture control lever and/or part of the camera's body. Some can be converted to be used in DSLR's and cameras that couldn't previously use these lenses. But most AF lenses will work with Nikon's DSLR's, only losing matrix metering if the lens is not AF-D/G/S. I have older Nikkor 28-85 f/3.5-4.5 AF (not AF-D) and a Sigma 75-300 f/4.5-5.6 that work just fine, just not in matrix metering.

Thanks for the information on NIkon Digitals and F series lenses.

I am a hobby user and cant spend huge bucks for a new Nikon Digital SLR. What is a recomendation for a good used model Nikon SLR, afforadable and will take most of the Nikon F series lenses.

Thanks

Paul

If you can find a used D100 it may suit you, however the D70 is the current day price breaker and industry shaker for dSLRs (pro features, amateur price).

If You have all of those af Len's You really should look at a D100 or even A D1 body. Find A used SB28DX orSB80DX flash and You will be A happy guy with the results. D100 would be My choice, OH! It was.
