Hello

I was thinking of selling my Nikon 24mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 and getting a Tokina 28-80mm f/2.8 AT-X 280 AF PRO lens.

I feel I shoot better with a zoom.

The creative freedom of a zoom lens vs. the high level of interaction of a prime lens; I am stuck

any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated?

Zooms are getting better all the time but I reckon agood prime will beat a zoom for quality. Primes also tend to be faster lenses.

That said I shoot with zooms a lot and the flexibility is a real bonus. Also zooms mean less lens changes which is a bonus with DSLRs where the is always the risk of getting dust on the sensor.
