Carl Zeiss will apparently make lenses for Nikon F-Mount cameras, this should be interesting.

More news to follow tomorrow.

Speculation indeed but it seems to be gaining believers.

Nikon makes abetter lens than Carl Zeiss these days...who would want date a great camera? You are what you buy! Carl Zeiss is dead! Hitler loved the quality he got from B&W from Zeiss's Lens.

That must be why Hasselblad use CZ lenses, because Carl Zeiss is dead.

The Zeiss lens on my old digi-Sony was wonder. Great clarity and color.

Zeiss is dead? I guess we never saw those pictures of the Earth from space because there were no Zeiss lenses. I guess we never saw the shots of Mars from the Rovers exploring the surface...because there were no Zeiss lenses!

I guess the movie 'Lord of the Rings' or 'King Kong' never happened because Zeiss lenses weren't available for their movie cameras.

:?

No...Zeiss is far from dead. In fact it is positioning itself to survive no matter what happens with the camera industry. All cameras, digital or film, are going to need lenses...and Zeiss has the stuff to produce some fantastic choices for Nikon users. Of course, nobody is forced to buy the new lenses...but when people start to see the results that they give...I think there will defintiely be buyers.
