I just get the Nikon 18-200mm VRII lens and firstimpressionwas better than I expected for that kind of super zoom.

Because I alreadyused Tamron 18-200mmand cornerswere soft that bothers me most. But this one is really good.

This lensis sharp, quiet and focusing is fast even dark.I have noticed a little bit light falloff 200mm f/5.6 but if you looking for just one lensfor everythingyou do not have to worry about...

I think, I'llgo with this lens, because 17-55mm is too large and heavy for me. However, sharpness isvery very close to 17-55mm. VRreally helpsfor getting sharp results in dark.

Good match for D50. I am happy to find it andI guess, this lens will be the best seller.
Congratz on your new toy . I'm pretty sure you will like it. I just did some more tests with mine yesterday (went to a zoo) and I was quite pleased with the results. The sharpness is reasonable and the VR works out alright. Also, AF-C is quite useale for tracking running animals. I'm pretty happy with this one

Thanks Dee-ehn,

Dimensions are very good for me, specially comparing huge 17-55mm. As I said before, this is a good match to D50. Well balanced.

Indoor performance wasnice. I'll go to small trip,I believe it's fantastic also for outdoor.

I have noticed that this lens alsofine for macro.

(By the way, sorry about my english :G).

Even though I've already placed an order for the Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens, I'm quite nervous about Ken Rockwell's review of its bokeh problem. He was updating his reviews on the lens on a daily basis until he comes to the bad bokeh, he stopped updating all of a sudden.

Just said that it didn't have good bokeh. It's actually expected of a lens like this of such wide range, and also it not being a "pro" lens.
