:|I am a videographer. My wife just got the Nikon D50. I needget a lens so Ican incorporate the photo's into my video's. Would you suggest the Nikon 55-200 or the Sigma 18-200? I wish that I was able to afford the Nikon 18-200, but not at this time...

If you've already got the 18-55, then I would just go with the Nikon. THis also depends on what kind of shooting you. The 18-200 is a one lens solution that covers everything. The tradeoff is slower performance, more distortion, and poorer low light performance. Every lens has some shortcoming, and usually the longer the zoom range, the more issues a lens will have. If your just a casual shooter, the 18-200 might be a good choice. If your more exacting, the 55-200 would probably be slightly better.
