Default Add-on lenses

I'm considering buying a Nikon Coolpix 4500, mainly for its macro capabilities. There are add-on telephoto lenses for this camera also - has anyone had (good) experiences with these?

Please take a look at my 4500 user guide.

I use both the Nikon 2X and the Nikon 3X with
my CP995 - both give execellent results, but the
3X is a little sharper by my eyeball: no scientific
measurements.

Of course the 3X makes demands on your steadiness
of hand, which can make results seem variable.

The 3X with an Olympus B300 1.7X on the front is awesome:
775mm equivalent focal length at f5.1 and enough resolution
for craters on the moon or sunspots (heavy filters to save the
CCD). By pulling up the brightness in Photoshop I can even
detect moons near Jupiter with this combination.

hope this helps
