Default 4500 image sharpness

I have a question about image sharpness from the Coolpix 4500. I just bought one having upgraded from a 990. The pictures from the 4500 seem fuzzier than from my 990. Does it seem that way to anyone else?

The image quality of the 4500 should be as good as that of the 990. IMO, the longest focal length end (i.e., 152mm) may ne a little softer but not by much and noticeable.
