Default Need Some Help With These Photos

I have started taking photos pretty recently. I went to take pictures of a band tonight that I will probably get to take photos of in the future. The lighting was very poor in the building and this is what I got... What settings should I be most concerned with to correct these... I did not use a flash... Thank you for your help...

The second one is very true to the lighting in the room...

What camera are you using? If it is a typical digicam, low light is a problem.

Usually, the best you can do is set the cam for the highest ISO it will handle and hope. In most cases though you will be at too low a shutter speed unless the light is quite bright.

The flash on the cam is usually inadequate for these sort of pictures.
An aux iliary flash is usually prices (maybe 200!).

One alternative is to use a camcorder video light.
