Default RAW

Peter

From what I read on other forums, the general concensus seems to be that Nikon wanted to get the camera out more quickly and that RAW will be made available on a firmware update, don't quote me on this since it is only a supposition on everyone's part. I have the 5000 and RAW came on a firmware update at a later date. I now have RAW and have used and like it, but it also takes the pic quite a whi;e tp come on as in TIFF. Hope PS8 comes out soon with the RAW Plugin installed, as of now you have to buy it separately. Best,

Louise Parrish

Nikon View 6 has a plugin for PS7 to read .NEF files and its free off of Nikon's Software Download site.

Thanks! I would have never found that NEF plugin!

I've installed NikonView on my little laptop for file transfer and only have Photoshop on my main PC.
