hi all

i recently got a coolpix p5000
mainly to be used in a housing underwater but also as a land point and shoot camera.

first impresions , mmm well

feels good in the hand , screen is nice and sharp with good color .menus are easy to navigate .

image quality. in outdoor settings i like the colors it reproduces i think it does nice saturated sunsets and beach scenes . low light indoors i was a bit disapointed at first with shutter lag but had a play with settings and im fairly happy now.

im using the transcend 4gb class6 hc sd card purchaced online for around $100 aud .

anyway here is one of my first photos .....resized in photoshop , no other manipulation. would love to hear from other p5000 users . comment also welcome

regards
matt

im still playing with different settings to get the best images i can .

comments apreciated
