I have been having problems with my camera for the last couple of hours. It was working perfectly until then. I just set the date and time on the camera and it got stuck in standby mode, but with the lens outside. The display is also blank. Turning the mode dial, pressing the shuter button halfway, and other measures recommended in the manual did not solve the problem. I left it to see if it would shut off on its own as indicated, but even that did not happen. I have since then tried reinserting the batteries, removing the memory card and fiddling with the power and shutter buttons to no avail. With a trip on Saturday morning looming, I need to get it working quickly. Any suggestions on what I can do to solve this problem would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
