Default Coolpix 5700 small shining dot on the monitor

Since few days I own a new Coolpix 5700. I discovered a small shining dot on the monitor. Should I ask for the camera replacement? This could cause serious inconvenient in the future?
Best Regards
Alessandro

Sounds like a burned out pixel on the tft display? Although this is better than a defective ccd, I would still get an exchange if it is a defective screen.

You paid good money for something and it should not have those types of obvious flaws at this stage of ownership.
