Viky-

Your photos look great. The firey blaze is hard at times fro WB to cope with, but you pulled it off perfectly.

Eli-

Welcome to the Forum, and the Nikon P+S folder.

Thanks for posting. Excepting for #1 which is under exposed, perhaps the flash did not fire, your photo look very good. Keep in mind that the #1 photo could easily be saved by a bit of photo editing.

Have a great day.

Default need some help

thanks Hector. the cloud picture look very nice.

I need some help with my p90. When I do the manual zoom and I take the picture the light quality it's pretty bad. I took a picture in a very bright room and the picture came out darker than what it was really like. when its set to auto focus the pictures come out fine.

Hector-

You got some excellent detail into both shots.

Have a great weekend.

Eli-

Personally, I always take several photos of every scene. On the first photo, I use the "P" for Programed Auto Mode and let the camera auto focus. I then evaluate the exposure obtained, by viewing the result on the camera's LCD screen. If it is dark (under exposed) I then add a bit( EV+0.3 or EV+0.7) of light by using some plus Exposure Compensation.

I then review the new result on the camera's LCD screen. If I am pleased with the result, I am finished. If I felt the amount of light was insufficient, then I will add more light and review again etc.

In the process I am attempting to nail the exact exposure as closely as possible. I rarely use the manual mode as I know that the camera can focus more sharply than I can, and the camera is usually better at precise exposure. Have a great weekend.
