After returning this unit to nikon 6!!! times 4 times for the same problem they sent me a new unit,I didnt even open the box i found someone who wanted the camera and sold it to them 8) I have to say that when it worked it was great but i have had all i can take of nikon very poor quality. You can say what you want but nikon is going down hill in the QA dept. My coolpix 4300 is better made. The one good thing is nikon is still the KING of macro.Tealblue

I agree Nikon looks to have the best Macro images. I almost bought a 5700 but opted for a Minolta Dimage 7i.

Your not alone and Nikon is not the only one with support issues. I have had the same problem with Minota. I just sent the camera off for another 4-6 week wait for the third time. The camera is a new Dimage 7i and they just return it each time unfixed. The refuse to allow you to talk to anyone that can help and don't escallate issues. Sounds like large companies are more interested in the initial sale but not in supporting their products. I would really like to hear for individuals with Good Support results to get some direction on who to purchase from next.
