Default Canal view from the jetty-Coolpix S3

Took a very nice photo of our canal from a interesting vantage point-from our jetty on the canal:



I used the Coolpix S3's Scenic view landscape assist mode.

If your main subject is the sky, then this image is correctly composed. If not then the horizon line should be brought up a third of the way up the image to make the canal the main focus. Pretty area. Where is this?

That is excellent advice. If anyone wants to look up more information on what Gary is referring to, it is a Composition Rule called "The Rule of Thirds."
