Default Stuck Pixels on Nikon Coolpix 7900

Just got myself a 7900 off ebay (for 50) and I'm really disappointed as its got a couple of really bad stuck pixels (one blue on pink) - noticable at all ISOs, on videos etc. Does anyone know of any software I can run on the camera to remap the CCD?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a repair manual for this camera from (free of charge).

Thanks!

You can use a freeware program called "PZapGUI". It does not remap the sensor but it does allow you to remove hot pixels from images either one at a time or in batches. splatoo

I don't think there is easily available software to update the bad pixel map in EEPROM for that model. IOW, you'd need Nikon's service software to handle it and I don't know of a source for that model.

Here's a software tool for older models. But, I don't think it's going to work with that one. Try it at your own risk.
