First one is a great shot, and would be awesome for advertisement.

Free-

Technically the first photo is very sharp, well lighted, and presents a nice composition. However, to my eye, it is spoiled by using the incorrect White Balance which created a yellow, or golden colored cast to the photo. Was that intentional?

Yes you are right. It is warm but this may suit the biscuit, coffee and table.
