Default Seems like this forum is not too excited about the P100, eh?

http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Ni...LPIX-P100.html

Looks promising on paper. Zoom while recording 1080p video, backlit CMOS sensor, 10 full resolution fps, usable shots up to iso800 (even 1600 it seems)...

The images I have seen so far aren't stellar though, not much better than a P90. We will see!

squalo bianco-

The Nikon P-100 is getting a lot of publicity, but it does not seem to show any amazing results with its images. Most users see the new P-100 as just a minor upgrade.

Against the P90:

-CMOS high iso capable sensor vs underpowered CCD that produces chroma noise even on iso100
-1080p video with stereo sound and full zoom vs VGA, mono and no zoom
-10 fr-fps vs 1.5 fr-fps
-26x zoom vs 24x zoom

As we both stated, IQ seems to be lagging behind those impressive features, but spec-wise it's not exactly a minor upgrade, I can't see why people would think it is. It's not like I'm getting it, I'm happy with my P90 + Pentax dSLR. However, I find it funny that 'nobody' is talking about this camera, and not just on this site.

Regards
