Default Just an observation...

I noticed while watching CSI (a popular crime show in North America) that the lead character was using a Nikon 5700 when he was on a crime scene.

I guess now they are shooting Nikon, because once I believe they used an E-10/20 on their show

Inline advertising is really starting to take off. Chances are - if you saw he was using a Nikon 5700 its because Nikon paid them to use it (and assure the brand name showed). They are typically very careful to cover branding unless paid. Often times you will see everyone drinking pepsi or something and will be able to note that everyone in the scene happens to be holding their can so the name shows perfectly.
With the age of Tivo/commercial-editing, a new era of advertising is beginning - integrate the products into the shows.
Now didn't seeing them use the 5700 on TV make you want to run out and buy one
