Default Macro add on

Hey all, I needed some advice.

I have a D3100, the thing is I was wondering if you can have a macro apparatus for an 18-55mm NIKKOR similar to the one you can use for a Panasonic Fz-40 (LA5 Adapter and LC55) for macro closeups

I am going to get a Raynox 250. From what I understand, they can be tricky to use, but the results can be awesome.

G'day Hassan

Couple of things here - any camera lens will have an "accessory thread" on the front of the lens. Most of us call it the "filter thread"
Your 18-55 will probably have a 58mm diameter filter thread

To use your LC55 closeup lens, you need to get a small "58mm to 55mm step-down adapter ring". It will cost you about $10

ps- you can also use the LC55 on your 55-200mm lens as well with the correct step-down adapter

Hope this helps
Regards, Phil
