Default Coolpix S8200

Just picked this up at Costco, complete with leather case and 4Gb Lexar SD card for $229.00. Been wanting a point-n-shoot that could do easy panoramas AND selective color. The Canon's do selective color but not easy panoramas. Sony wrote the book on easy panoramas but couldn't do selective color. The S8200 bridges the gap and provides both. The other features of the S8200 are more than adequate and I'm anxious to get it out and see what it will do. I hate the megapixel war going on. It's not helping consumers get higher quality output, but I'm hoping the S8200 will still give me what I'm looking for, a good quality base from which I can launch into my editing software and create images that meet my needs. Would love to hear from anybody else on the forum using the S8200. I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Here are some images from the Nikon S8200. While the camera is 16MP, all of these were taken at the 12MP setting. There is a mix of abstract, architecture and still life.

What settings would you suggest for low light indoor violin concert for elementary school kids? Restaurant pics? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
