Default Anybody else?

Thanks Steves, but...
I searched Ebay, found one seller, but he was in Hong Kong. I hate Ebay anyway, I have been ripped off a couple time there and nobody including Ebay can or will do anything about it.
Anybody seen the Nikon 5700 case for sale online anywhere?

Thanks,
SteveC

This may not help much but buy.com lists Nikon case as a back order item for $17.78. I am ordering it any way.

Why would anyone want the NIkon bag .. it is too small to be useful.

I think it's just the natural way, if you have a Nikon camera, you'll want the Nikon bag, it probably works well on the compact digicams, but not the SLR as Steve has mentioned. I prefer to use the Tamrac and/ or the Lowe Pro bags. I also replace the nonsense strap that came with the camera and use the pro Tamrac strap, at lease can can use the quick release buckle to free the camera when I do some serious shooting. Cheers

I WOULD buy a case IF it were smaller and protective or bigger so it could carry batteries, etc. Otherwise this is just a fashion statement

Default feedback on some accessories

the mb-e5700 battery pack is the best money i have spent. i added 6 maha powerex 1800mah rechargeable batteries ($15 per 4) and they are going on 2 weeks without a recharge (i have taken approx 120 photos ... 30-40% with flash). I also love the feel with the battery pack attached and the portrait shutter button & zoom work great.

I also bought the 52mm adapter ring from Nextphoto (i read about it from a post here ... thanks!!) this also makes a huge difference. I can now use my skylight 1A filter all the time to protect the lens and reduce flash glare ... plus I also use the polerizer alot for outdoor shots. It has a very nice fit with the included O rings.

Default 52 mm adapter ring for 5700?

I wonder which adapter ring should be used for 5700, 40.5~46/49(+49~52)? If use UR-E8, then which adapter ring can be used?

A 40.5 works fine if you file it down. I recommend 49mm accessories as they are readily available.

Default 52mm adapter ring

i got the 52 only because i already had alot of filters and accessories for it left over from my fuji 4900. the 52mm adapter is almost a perfect fit when the camera is off though. The UR-E8 doesn't accept any filters ... I bought one thinking it did. Nikon really dropped the ball here with not offering a filter adaptor ring or threading the lens to accept filters.
